Glenlaurel Inn’s Private Hiking Trails Book Now

Glenlaurel Inn Private Hiking Trails and Gorge

Since opening in 1994, Glenlaurel’s 140-acre estate has grown from a wilderness area to a regionally known romantic getaway. Glenlaurel’s setting is a heavily wooded series of walking trails, rock cliffs, and waterfalls; we have the most amazing and beautiful walking trails with Thistle Bluff Walk, Highland Scott’s Trail, and Camusfearna Gorge.

These trails offer a leisurely experience into the beauty, mystery, and peace of the Glenlaurel landscape showcasing an abundance of Hemlock trees, large caverns with over 50-100 foot rock cliffs, two creeks, and waterfalls.

The entire southeastern part of Ohio is considered Appalachian Highlands. The most interesting district in the Appalachian Highlands is the Hocking Hills. When the last ice age moved through Ohio thousands of years ago, it missed this unique area leaving behind wondrous rock & waterfall formations that lie within the Glenlaurel Estate and within a 10 mile radius, that form the Hocking Hills State Park System.

All in all lad, you will be hard pressed to find a place anywhere in the Midwest of America that feels as Scottish as this place -- this Glenlaurel.
